What is a cookie?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user's device. You can find more information about cookies at: www.allaboutcookies.org and www.aboutcookies.org. General advice for members of the public, as well as for operators of websites, can be found on the website of the UK Information Commissioner's Office

Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience. They can also help to ensure that adverts you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

The cookies used on this website have been categorised based on the categories found in the ICC UK Cookie guide. A list of all the cookies used on this website by category is set out below.

Strictly necessary cookies

Notice for users: These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around the website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the website. Without these cookies services you have asked for, like shopping baskets or ordering goods or services, cannot be provided. The use of ‘strictly necessary’ cookies does not require your agreement. However, you can set your browser (such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge) to not accept cookies if you so wish.

We place up to two strictly necessary cookies on your device:

(1) When you visit this website for the first time, a box is displayed at the bottom of your screen which advises that the website uses cookies, and seeks your agreement to this. In order to prevent you being asked the same question on any subsequent visits to this website from the same device, one cookie is placed on your device, which is strictly necessary for the successful operation of the script which displays the box (which is required in order to conform to data protection legislation), and does not contain any information that can identify you. The name of the cookie is ‘pjAcceptCookie’. It contains the word ‘Yes’. This cookie will expire one year after your first visit to the website.

(2) If you visit a page on our website that contains a form, such as a contact form or order form, one cookie will be used to enable the subsequent processing of the form. This cookie is strictly necessary for the successful operation of the form, and does not contain any information that can identify you. The name of the cookie is 'ContactForm'. It contains a random string of 26 letters and numbers. The cookie will expire at the end of the user session - in other words, when you leave the website.

If you use our online payment page and wish to make a payment, you will be forwarded to PayPal's website in order to make the payment securely. PayPal will place a cookie or cookies on your device as part of that process, but we have no control over, and have no responsibility for, PayPal's use of cookies. Because Internet@TSP uses PayPal, a highly-secure third-party payment processor, to receive payments, it is never able to see or store any user’s card or payment details. Information about PayPal's use of cookies can be found on their website at this URL. Similarly we are not responsible for the content of, or actions performed by, any other website that is linked from or to our website.
